After years of dabbling in various media Rachel has settled with the description of mixed media textile artist. This diverse area blurs the boundaries between disciplines and materials.

Her textile work is a fusion of fabric and threads often containing an unexpected element thrown in. Her stitched work is textually rich and she would combine the contemplative nature of hand stitch with machine embroidery. She makes products such as wearable art pieces, pendants and brooches, embroidered hoops, and framed pieces. She also creates a range of one off pieces. The inspiration for Rachel’s work is often taken from nature, gardens, landscapes and seascapes.
