Karen Lavell (Soilse)

I draw all my inspiration from my childhood growing up in the Irish countryside, running though fields of long grass, combing the seashore for treasure and climbing through a barn full of freshly bailed hay.

This was all lost to me for many years as I worked as a fashion designer in New York.

The word ‘Soilse’ is the Irish for lights and it refers to my seeing the light when we decided to return to Ireland and raise our children in county Meath.

Our candle fragrances are designed to capture these childhood memories, blended with premium soy wax, hand poured and packaged with love in small batches.
