Caóilfíonn Murphy O’Hanlon

Cushla Of Gullion is an Irish landscape Art business founded by textile artist Caóilfíonn Murphy O’Hanlon in 2014, now based in Bridge Street Studios Dundalk.
Growing up on the slopes of Sliabh Gullion, overlooking looking Dundalk Bay, the Cooley mountains, the drumlins of Monaghan, Meath and Cavan, she has long been beguiled by the everchanging hues, rugged beauty, legends and lore of her people and her place. Drawing on imbued memories and nostalgic inheritances, Caóilfíonn creates quirky wool paintings from hand dyed wools, silks and found objects from the landscape, reflecting her Irish roots and shared landscapes.
She also produces limited edition fine art giclée prints. Part of the National Collection and exhibited internationally, her work and commissions have travelled across the world.
